WEBINAR: SmartGrids Austria and ETIP SNET on Smart Energy Systems – 18/01/2018

The Technology Platform Smart Grids Austria and the ETIP SNET will host a webinar on smart energy systems

Date: 18.01.2018 – Time: 15h00 – 16h00

The Technology Platform Smart Grids Austria (TPSG Austria) and the Innovation Platform Smart Networks for Energy Transition (ETIP SNET) are pleased to present a one hour webinar on the interoperability of data exchanges in smart energy systems on the 18th of January at 15:00 CET.

Konstantin Staschus, ETIP SNET Chair (TBC) will first present the ETIP SNET scope and activities, as well as the ETIP SNET Implementation Plan, listing the short-term priorities for R&I in the field of smart energy systems, and based upon the ETIP-SNET R&I Roadmap 2017-2026.

Angela Berger, Managing Director of the Technology Platform Smart Grids Austria, will then give a short overview of the activities of the platform and its objectives.

Valerie Reif (TPSG Austria), together with Matthias Frohner and Stefan Sauermann of UAS Technikum Wien, will present the project IES – Integrating the Energy System” which implements a vendor neutral, cooperative method to achieve interoperability of ICT-components in smart energy systems.

Based on the model of the healthcare sector, IES has the long term vision to set up a European organization ‘IES Europe’. A European interoperability initiative provides the opportunity to establish the developed IES-process on a European level, thereby linking national and European activities and ensuring an interoperable transition of the energy system in Europe. The presentation will focus on:

  • Interoperability of ICT systems as enabler for innovative services in the energy sector (SGAM/TOGAF/CIM)
  • Lessons learned from the healthcare sector: IHE methodology & organisation
  • Connectathon: unique interoperability testing events
  • The vision of IES Europe
  • Possibilities for engagement and participation
